Designed as a mounting interface for KAC 5.56mm QDC suppressors when used in conjunction with shrouds on barrel/handguard combinations requiring additional clearance. Without a suppressor mounted, the 5.56mm Open Brake reduces felt recoil and muzzle lift. As a suppressor host, it will reduce wear to the first baffle and extend service life of the suppressor.
