Compatible with all KAC 5.56mm QDC muzzle devices.
KAC recommends that a gap of 0.200” between the front of the handguard and the rear of the index pin to allow full locking of the QDC mount. For compatibility with KAC QDC Suppressor Shrouds, a gap of 0.325” is recommended. When fully tightened, gap between the locking collar or shroud and face of the handguard must be clearly visible.
11.5” barrels with 10.75” URX4 as on the SR-15/16 MOD2 CQB may show interference between the locking collar and the front of the handguard. Compatibility options include replacing the QDC 3-Prong Flash Hider with the 123191 Open Brake, upgrading the 10.75” URX4 handguard to the 10.5” URX6 handguard (requires notched upper receiver), or adding shims to the muzzle device as necessary to achieve the minimum recommended gap. It is recommended to shim no more than 0.100” to ensure adequate thread engagement.
